Good evening, this is Wayne Duggins, Principal of Southwest Guilford High School.
I have just a few quick items to share with you.
I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving break and are now ready to finish the rest of this year strong.
The faculty and staff of Southwest want to thank our PTSA and all of our parents for your thoughtfulness this Thanksgiving. It took a lot of work and coordination to make sure that each and every member at the ranch received a pie for the holidays. We appreciate your support and could not imagine working in a better community.
Tomorrow night, Monday November 28th at 6:30 PM, we will have the Fall Sports Awards and Reception sponsored by our Athletic Booster Club. It will be held in the Southwest Auditorium. Athletes remember, you must be dressed appropriately.
On Friday, December 2nd, the Bloodmobile will be on campus from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM for anyone that would like to give blood.
I want to encourage all parents to make sure that you have access to the Parent Portal for Grades and Attendance. This is a great way for you to monitior your child's school progress. All teacher updates their grades weekly.
Parents, I need your help. Many students are coming to school out of dress code. When asked to comply, they pull a collared shirt out of their bag to put on. We are asking you to please have a conversation about dress code. Students who do not comply will be receivingf BIP for the day. I appreciate your assistance.
