Good evening, this is Wayne Duggins, Principal of Southwest Guilford High School.
I have just a few quick items to share with you.
Tomorrow night, Monday, January 30th, we will have our pre-season parent/student athletic eligibility Fair Play meeting. It will be held in the auditorium and will run from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. This meeting is mandatory for all students athletes and parents who have not yet attended the fair play meeting this school year. Please bring a current physical and 2 forms for proof of residency.
On Thursday, February 2nd, students will receive their report cards for the 1st semester. Please be sure to ask your child for their report.
Parents and students: Students are permitted to request a course change form. The form must be turned into the counseling department by February 3rd. There are a limited number of classes available for second semester, so be aware that the form is a request and not a guarantee. Parents will receive an email if the change could be made. Students who have a hole in their schedule or have been misplaced in a class get 1st preference on schedule changes. We will not overload a class to accommodate a student/parent request.
