SWHS Principal's Weekly updates for September 10

Another amazing week!  This past week, accountability results were released form the state on all public schools. Schools across the state can be designated as not having met expected growth, meeting expected growth, and exceeding expected growth. For the 4th year in a row, SWHS has EXCEEDED expected growth. We also increased in the areas of Graduation rate, ACT proficiency, Work keys proficiency and other areas. Please help me in cheering on this amazing staff. They work very hard for your children, more than most people will ever understand. I am a lucky individual to be able to lead this staff, this student body, the parents, guardians and amazing community.  Thank you. 

Parents and guardians, while a couple of you have reached out to me, I am still looking for more individuals to assist us with the PTSA this year. Please e-mail me if you think you can assist. 

Parent assist attendance and grade monitoring will be up and running on 9/11 the 11^th day of school. The reason for this delay, is to ensure we have all schedule changes in the system.Please reach out to your child's teachers if you have any inquiries about their grades.

I am unsure if you have seen the news, but we were spotlighted for the upcoming implementation of the OneCard student identification system. More information in details to this additional layer of safety and security will be communicated to you shortly.
