Just a friendly reminder that there is no school this coming Monday as we celebrate Veteran's Day. Please assist me in honoring all veterans of the United States Armed Forces. We thank you for your service.
An enormous focus of this week's message is our upcoming Parent Empowerment Summit, right here on the campus of Southwest Guilford High School. This is an amazing opportunity to visit an array of empowering sessions that will help you better navigate as a parent! Lock down Saturday November 16 from 9AM to 12:30.We even have childcare on sight, along with a student aged child friendly kindness mural project during these hours. This event is an opportunity for you to be more empowered while assisting your student with their pathway through High School and beyond.
A gentle reminder that there are no parent or student drop-off in the back parking lot. The buses
are using their STOP signs to keep all students safe; those crossing and those
getting off the bus. Passing a bus could result in a serious law enforcement ticket. Please help us be as safe as possible on and around our campus.

Fall Athletic Awards Ceremony Monday, Nov. 25, 6:30. Coach Christman will be distributing more information through coaches over the next week.
Please think about serving as a judge on our Senior Speech Night, November 19, 2019. The evening begins with dinner at 5:00 pm.
We will begin listening to student speeches at 6:00 in 15 minute increments until 8:00. A judge's scoring rubric will be provided for you.
