SWGHS Principal's weekly message for September 8

Good evening Southwest!

First and foremost, I hope everyone has an opportunity to enjoy this 3 days weekend. Please take care of yourself, practice social distancing and try to avoid large crowds during this holiday weekend.

Following the holiday weekend, we need to get ready because we are moving full steam ahead.... ALL teachers are now required to grade and take daily attendance.

Parents, are you confident that your student is engaged fully? Please know we are finding that students are often logging in and then stepping away from the computer.... I have told my teachers to mark students absent if this occurs. Please help us out by having a conversation with your student assisting us with our expectations.  We do not want you blindsided by any calls, reports, etc,.

Are you connected to the Parent Portal so you can monitor your student's attendance and grades? If not click here. if you have any difficultly with this process, please e-mail Mrs. Kristy Cline at clinek2@gcsnc.com
